Hazel Roberts

Hazel D. (Elder) Roberts, 89, of Decatur went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Life Care Center of Athens. She was a member of Allen Memorial Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlan J. and Lucy Geraldine (Jackson) Elder; son-in-law John Tallant.

She is survived by her husband of 71 and 1/2 years, Russell Franklin Roberts of Decatur; one daughter Dianne Tallant of Knoxville; one sister Arlene Burdett of Chattanooga; 2 grandchildren, Chad Tallant of Dayton and Jonna Tallant of Knoxville.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Decatur United Methodist Church or to Life Care Center of Athens.
