Hazel P. Ricker

Hazel P. Ricker, age 89, of Decatur, TN, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at her residence. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jenny (Reynolds) Pittman; husband, Paul R. Ricker; daughter, Jessie Mae Steele; son, Homer Lee Ricker; son-in-law, LaBron Crisp; daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann Ricker. She is survived by four sons and one daughter-in-law, Jay Ricker, Walter and Hazel Ricker, Earl Ricker and Lester Ricker, all of Decatur, TN; five daughters and two son-in-laws, Mary Hunter, Bonnie and Otto Appelt, all of Decatur, TN, Dorothy Crisp of Athens, TN, Rita Ricker, Betty and Lynn Daniels, all of Decatur, TN; Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren; son-in-law Dennis Steele of Chattanooga, TN; brother-in-law Traynor Ricker of Ten Mile, TN; special friends Evelyn Goins of Decatur and Clyde Crisp of Athens, TN. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., on Friday July 30, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Ricker officiating . Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Garland Lankford, Phillip Shelton, David Bates, Matt Ricker, George Farmer and Tony Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers: Homer Brown.
