Harold Eugene Howell

Harold Eugene Howell, 89, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2016.

He was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church. He was a Veteran serving in the U. S. Navy in WW II. And retired from Sears in Chattanooga, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John N. and Addie (Dean) Howell; and a brother Don Howell.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years Sarah Frances (Scott) Howell of Decatur; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Charles Edward and Hope Howell of Harrison, David W. and Dianne Howell of Cleveland, Dennis and Mendy Howell of Decatur; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny L. and David Lockwood of Harrison; one brother and sister-in-law, John L. and Betty Howell of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Bowers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jamey Davis officiating, interment will follow in the Bethsadia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the funeral home.
