Gid Creed Roberts

Gid Creed Roberts, of Niota, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at his residence. He was a Baptist. He was a member of the Senior Citizens. He loved to dance and was great at it. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Elizabeth Roberts. He is survived by his wife Hazel Clark Nunley of Niota; step son Mike Walden of Loudon, TN; daughter Carolyn Trew of Madisonville, step daughter Pat Crisp of Decatur; one brother Ed (B man) Roberts of Ten Mile; two sisters, Susan Decker of Sweetwater, Bonnie Raby of Ten Mile; three Grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m., Tue., Dec. 4, in the Roberts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3 at the funeral home.
