George Mack Chapman

George Mack Chapman, passed away June 19, 2012. He was born Dec. 1, 1934 to the late Harry and Lena Monroe Chapman. Mack was a devoted husband to Nancy Lynn Proffitt Chapman and a loving father of Harry Michael Chapman and Vickie Chapman Rodgers. He has three beautiful grandchildren, Kimberly, Matthew, and Brad Rodgers of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by three sisters, Harrietta Roberts, Sara Kay Perkinson, and Vivian Chapman. Mack was involved throughout his lifetime in bringing others to Christ. Even though he was employed by Southern Railway for 35 years his purpose was to serve the Lord. The funeral service will be 2 pm Friday in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Pastor Wayne Coulter officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 Thursday at the funeral home.
