Gayla Mincy Waller

Gayla Mincy Waller, 64, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was a daughter of the late Mattie “Mutt” and Mamie Mincy. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church, She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and loved her preschool Sunday school class that she had faithfully taught for many years. She is preceded in death by her brother: Jerry Mincy. She is survived by her husband of 42 years: Gary Waller of Decatur; son: Gage Waller of Decatur; brother: Rick Mincy (Aricia) of Chattanooga; sisters: Lynn McBay, Dotty McCormick, Marty Cooper, all of Spring City; several nieces, nephew, and other extended family. Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 7p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Victor Abernathy officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 prior to the service.
