Gary Allen Hammontree

Gary Allen Hammontree, age 62, of Decatur, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Allen and Anna Margaret (Wilson) Hammontree; brother Tony Lowe; sister Linda Diane Helton; grandson Little Andy Sims. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karol (Derryberry) Hammontree of Decatur, TN; one son, Jason Allen Hammontree of Decatur, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Stacia and Andy Sims of Decatur, TN; two grandchildren, Kandace Karol Hammontree and Jacia Anna Holden; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2010, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Colbaugh and Chaplain Gary DeCamp officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the funeral home.
