Fredrick Allen Thompson, 38, of Decatur, departed his life on Thursday, Aug. 6,2015. He was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Edna Ann Thompson; stepfather, Robert Newton, Sr.; biological mother, Marcie Ann Newton; brother, James Cecil Thompson: grandmother, Rosa Thompson; grandfather, August Bus Thompson. He leaves to mourn his passing: brothers, Michael Thompson, of Decatur, Jacques and Avrill Newton, both of Savannah, Ga; sisters, Robin and her husband Freddie Fletcher, of Cleveland, TN and April Dodd, of Chattanooga; aunts and uncles, Tom and Faye Thompson, Mary Winton, Teresa and Sherman Huff, Calvin Thompson, Madra Thompson, William and Linda Thompson; nieces Jasmin, Marie, Jacqulin, special niece, Tanesha Parish, and special nephew, Tony McCleary; and a host of cousins and friends. The funeral will be held in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home 2pm Sunday, August 9 with the Rev. George Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in St. Elmo Cemetery, Georgetown, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 Saturday.
