Franklin Delano Roosevelt Nance

April 2, 1933 — April 6, 2019

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Nance, 86, of Spring City passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Rockwood, TN and was a lifelong resident of Spring City. He worked for Sherwood Corp for many years and enjoyed Camping, sitting on the lake and fishing. He had attended the Open Door Fellowship Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Van buren Nance and Clara Nance; a brother, Kenneth Nance; sisters Mildred Hammons and Ira Thomas; and a half sister, Stacy Falls.

Survivors include his children, Deborah Phillips (Jimmy) of Spring City; Diane White (Tommy) of Spring City; Lissie Marie Nance of Dayton, Franklin Oscar Nance (Phyllis) of Decatur, and Stephanie Louise Nance of Spring City; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Cheryl Atterbery and her family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Bro. Tom Carver officiating. Burial will be on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 3:30pm in Treadway Cemetery in Spring City.
