Franklin "Frank" Leon Hicks

Franklin “Frank” Leon Hicks, age 84, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025.

was a son of the late John and Lottie Shannon Hicks. He was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: John Hicks Jr., Betty Stafford, Mary Moore, Joyce Bidwell, Margaret Moore, Dean Stafford, Linda Williams, Tommy Hicks, Bonnie Barker, Vina Melton.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Alma Dennis Hicks; son: Greg (Barabara) Hicks; grandchildren: Crystal (David) Schrimpsher; Bailey Hicks, Haley McNelley; great grandchildren: Savannah Collins, Madi Schrimpsher, Jonah Schrimpsher; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and a host of friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025, in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Ken Purdie officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in the Beta Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m., prior to the service.
