Frankie "Sue" Culbert

Frankie "Sue" Culbert, 86, of Decatur, TN passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2018. She was born in Cleveland, TN. Sue graduated from Dalton High School. In 1952 she moved to Euclid, OH where she raised her children. She relocated back to TN in 1979 where she worked 19 years and retired from NHC Healthcare in Athens, TN. She enjoyed and served as an active board member of the Decatur Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hayes and Nell Grace Henson; and two brothers, Wayne Hayes of Wickliffe, OH and Edward Lintecume of Bennettsville, SC.

Sue is survived by a brother, Clyde Hayes of Decatur, TN; her children, Dennis Culbert of Mogadore, OH and Cynthia Wilson of Athens, TN; her grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Denny and Katie Culbert of Lafayette, LA and Matthew Culbert of Fairborn, OH; three granddaughters and two grandson-in-laws, Myranda and Jerry Shelton of Decatur, TN, Michaela McHone and James L Buckner II of Oak Ridge, TN, and Alexis Culbert of Mogadore, OH; a great-granddaughter, Saleen Bell; and a great-grandson, Sherman "SJ" Buckner.

Also lovingly remembered by Larry J Bell of Athens, TN, Guida Meyer of Decatur, TN, and Christa and Amelia Gilliam of Etowah, TN.

The family will receive friends at Bowers Funeral Home from 5pm-7pm on Monday, August 27, 2018 . The funeral service will follow at 7pm. Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in Clearsprings Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens.
