Frances Kathleen Bredwell

Frances K Bredwell "Kathleen", 71, of Decatur passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019. She was born in Dayton and had been a resident of Decatur for the past 47 years coming from Athens. She enjoyed being on the phone with family and friends, spending time with the family, and cooking. She loved and cared for her fury child, Sparky. She was a Baptist and was a member of Bethsadia Baptist Church.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Naomi Janow; her husband of 46 years, Ralph Bredwell; her sisters, Betty Janow, Margret Janow and Helen Bredwell; and a son-in-law, Henry Brigham.

Survivors include her children, Michael Bredwell (Jamie), Steven Bredwell (Helen) and Lisa Brigham, all of Decatur; a brother, Richard Janow (Patsy) of Athens; a sister, Judy Walker (Mitchell) of Athens; three grandchildren, Hannah, Brandi, and Aubey; two great grandsons, Logan and Peyton; and a sister-in-law and her best friend, Rosie Gibson of Decatur.

The family will receive friends, Monday, April 15, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7pm with Pastor Paul Bowman officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 12pm at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Decatur.
