Faye "Meme" Carolyn Brown

Carolyn Faye Allen Brown "Meme", age 76, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, February 8 , 2020 at her home. Born 6/26/43.

She was preceded in death by parents; Fred and Mozelle Parris Allen, sister; Sara Joyce Allen Wilson and brother in law Ed Wilson.

Survived by husband; Wayne Brown of 58 years, daughter; Lisa (Tony) Charles, daughter of love; Becky (Velt) Harris; granddaughter; Colby (CJ) Oliver, grandson; Ryan (Kala) Aikman, granddaughter; Tiffany Charles, great granddaughters; Chloe Grace Oliver and Molly Ann Aikman, brothers Billy (Connie) Allen, David (Lavada) Allen, niece; Julie (Brett) Boyd, nephew; Shane Allen, great niece; Kinslee Greene, great nephews; Chance Allen and Hunter Boyd.

She eloped and married the love of her life on February 10, 1962. She loved her role as meme to grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and any children who ever met her.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home at 7 PM Monday, February 10, 2020 with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis and Rev. Travis Shaver officiating. Pallbearers will be DeWayne Gibson, Shane Allen, Jordan Anderson, Derek Colbaugh, Brett Boyd, Velt Harris.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00.
