Evelyn Jane Mooney

Evelyn Jane Mooney, 64, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Shelton and Katie Moore Shelton; grandparents, John and Annie Shelton, Jake and Edna Moore. Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Roberta Mooney, of Decatur; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Annie Jo and James "J.R." Pickens, Cora Sue and Bill Higby, Sammie Jean and Raymond Goins, all of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews; many good friends including special friend Donna Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe K. Miller officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, March 15, at the funeral home.
