Ethel V. Dennis

Ethel Viola Dennis, age 94, of Decatur TN, went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Powell, TN.

She was a daughter of the late Andy and Cora Sharpe Walker and a member of the Clear Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by; her husband Jake A. Dennis; daughter, Lena Rose Dennis; and a son, John A. Dennis.

Survivors include her son Roy Dennis of Decatur; sisters Pauline Emery of Memphis, TN, JoAnn Ashburn of Dayton, OH, Irene Nelson of Corrington, TN, and Zola Henegar of Halls, TN, brother Earl Walker of Mascot, TN; and a special friend, Joy Hutsell. Several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Rolen, Rev. Ralph Swafford, and Rev. Troy Crowder officiating.

Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Terry Brown, Nathan Brown, Charlie Miller, and Scott Womack will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
