Esther Jenkins Judd Altizer

Esther Judd Altizer, age 87, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024.

She loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, gardening, water skiing, being on the lake, and traveling. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Dora and Marie Clark Jenkins.

She is preceded in death by her first husband: George Julian Judd, second husband: Douglas Altizer; siblings: Evelyn Jenkins Witt, Jerry Jenkins.

She is survived by her children: Phyllis Elaine Judd and Chuck Carter, Cynthia “Cindy” Teresa Judd, Johnny Julian Judd; grandchildren: Meggan Marie and Jason Goode, Julian Jerome Judd and Allie Heath; great-grandchild: Kinslee Judd; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 - 4 p.m., prior to the service.
