Ernest Franklin Jenkins

Ernest Franklin Jenkins, 64, of Athens, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Chattanooga, one of several children to the late Frank and Margie Jenkins. He had been a resident of Athens for over 30 years coming from Benton. He was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Cecil, Kenneth, Eddie, Larry and Sonny Jenkins; and his sisters, Diane and Doris Ann Jenkins.

Survivors include his brother, Richard (Ann) Jenkins of Athens; his sister, Martha (Vonell) Lewallen of Grandview; his children, Tracy Hanley, Danny Jenkins, Barbara Bishop, and Tiffany Miguel; Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great-nephew.

Graveside services will be at 11AM Wednesday September 26, 2018 in Decatur Cemetery with Vonell Lewallen officiating. There will be no visitation.
