Emit "Jack" Trusley, age 68, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home with his family. He was a member of Cottonport Baptist Church. He worked at Shaw for 34 years. He served as Vice President of the Caring Car Club of Decatur. He enjoyed riding his tractor and loved to watch wrestling and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents: Emit Columbus Trusley, Idella Tennessee Wattenbarger Trusley, and several good friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: son; Emit "Shane" Trusley (Kimberly Roberts) of Decatur, daughter; Celia Trusley of Grand Rapids, MI., sisters; Linda Gennoe (Shaver) of Decatur, Brenda Walden of Decatur, grandchildren; Caitlyn Smith of Grand Rapids MI., Trinton Recinos of Grand Rapids MI, Alazae Recinos of Grand Rapids MI, Michael Shane "Rocker" Trusley of Decatur, and special friends; Dan Lockmiller, Ricky Bates, Charlie Thompson, Roni Thomas, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The Family would like to say a special Thank You to Kimberly Roberts for caring for Jack during his illness.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacey Gennoe, Rev. Gene Guffey, and Rev. Curtis Walden officiating.
Burial will be in the Upper Goodfield Cemetery on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5 to 7 at the Funeral Home.
