Elna Morene Robinson

Elna Morene Robinson, 81, of Decatur, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday Oct 31, 2011. She was a lifelong native of Tennessee and the owner and operator of the Robinsons Roost Motel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Harriett Spivey; one son, John Arthur Robinson; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws Del Robinson Jr. and Carolyn of Cookville, Carl A. "Corkey" Robinson and Rose, and James A. Robinson all of Decatur; daughters and son-in-law, Sybil and Wayne Carpenter of Decatur, Ava Robinson of Rossville, Ga. And Joyce Richesin of Decatur; brothers and sister-in-laws, Russell and Peggy Spivey of West Milton, Ohio, Jack and Jeri Spivey of Dayton, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Charlie Spurlock of Richmond, Ky; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack LouAllen officiating. Interment will be after the funeral Friday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at the funeral home. Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
