Edna Jane O'Daniel

Jane O'Daniel, 66, of Athens passed away May 23, 2018 at her residence. She was the daughter of Joe and Georgetta Haire and had been a life-long resident of Athens. She enjoyed doing her yard work. She worked for many years at Athens Furniture Company and she retired after 15 years of employment from the Pathology Lab West.

She was preceded by her parents, Joe and Georgetta Haire; and her daughter, Shelia Elaine O'Daniel.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, David O'Daniel of Athens; a son, John O'Daniel (Sonya) of Cleveland; four brothers, Joe Haire of Tellico, Jerry Haire of Pikeville, Jim Haire of Athens, and Jack Haire of Athens; three sisters, Judy Jackson of Athens, Janice Brown of Niota, and Jeannie Waller of Georgia; two grandchildren, Johnathan O'Daniel (April) and Jordan ODaniel; and a great-granddaughter, Peyton.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at Bowers Funeral Home.
