Dylan "Cubby" Elijah Johnson

Dylan “Cubby” Elijah Johnson, age 27, of Ten Mile, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Coming into the world on September the 8, 1996, he was destined to be a gentle giant. Whether you called him Cubby, Dylan, or Eli, everybody called him a friend. Cubby never met a stranger; he was loved by all who met him. To know him was to love him.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Isaac Dewayne Johnson; uncle: Dewayne Johnson; grandparents: Kenneth and Janice Johnson, Gene Colyer, Bill and Edna Lawson.

He is survived by parents: Rachel Colyer Johnson and Mitchell Johnson; children: Piper and Isaac Johnson; brother: Ethan Johnson; grandparents: Mike Colyer, Gary and Juanota Cole; great grandma: Daphene Colyer; aunts and uncles: Emily Colyer (Bryan Graham), April (Jason) Hickman, Gena (James) Hickman, Terry (Vance) Hughes, Karen (Billy) Webb, Ronnie (Shelia) Colyer, Coleen (Carl) Davis, Rueben Lawson, mother of his children: Dakota Coleman; cousins: Timmy Colyer, Katy Hickman, Rex Hickman, Taylor Colyer, Meghan Hickman (Cody Payne) Holly Hickman, Walt Hickman, Ellie Hickman, Travis (Karen) Johnson, Jessica (Jon) Avery, Jason Hughes, Heather (Caleb) Thompson, Milynda Parrish, Kim (Bryan) Walden, Mathew Webb; other extended family and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon – 2 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A graveside service will follow immediately after the visitation in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
