Dorothy Marie Wright

Dorothy "Dot" Marie Wright, 77, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2014 at Park West Medical Center. She was a member of Old Washington Baptist Church. She retired from Simco. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Allen Burke and Gertie (Williams) Burke; Brothers, Jack Burke, Carl Burke, Clarence Burke, Joe Allen Burke Jr.; sisters, Myrtle Frye, Sue Lyles; special niece Tina Jones. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Willy "Leon" Wright, of Decatur; Daughter, Donna Hickman and husband Taylor, of Decatur; grandson Jamey McKenzie and wife Joy, of Decatur; step grandson Jason Hickman and wife April, of Ten Mile; great step grandchildren, Katy, Rex and Meghan; great great step granddaughter Josephena Elayne, born on June 12,2014; special great nieces, Skyler and Megan Jones. Funeral services are at 7 pm on Saturday in the chapel at Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Revis and Rev. Max Redman officiating. Interment will be at 2 pm, Sunday in the Mtn. View Memorial Gardens, Decatur, TN. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm, Saturday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Big Charlie Thompson, Little Charlie Thompson, Earl Wright, Larry Young, Denny Burke, Bill Redmon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bethsadia Baptist Church and Old Washington Baptist Church building funds.
