Dorothy Marie Pierce Cohen, age 83, of Decatur TN., died Sunday, October 02, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Myrtle Ogles and Jesse Pierce, her Husband’s Jerry Edward Griffin Sr. and Donald Cohen, siblings Betty Jean Bradford, Jack Pierce, Lillian Pierce Gallamore, Pete (Raymond) Pierce, Chuck (Bobby) Pierce, Barbarann Pierce, Linda Diane Payne, and Patsy Pierce. She was survived by 2 brothers Tommy Pierce (Diane Cline Pierce, and Jimmy Pierce (Barbara Pierce), sons Jerry Edward Griffin Jr. and Thomas Martin Griffin, Son in-laws Charles Batts, Robert Michael Bradford, Grandsons Mark Batts and Daniel Batts, She is survived by her son Donny Lee Ballard and her daughters Terrie Marie Batts, Alice Karen Bradford, and Tammy Michelle Chandler, son in-laws George Chandler Jr. and Frankie Alvin Buckner, Grandchildren Charly (Cha-Cha) Batts, Amy Langway, Robin Ruth, Madison Bradford, Michelle Bradford, Gina Payne and Ronnie Payne, Great Grandchildren Pierson Alan Cox, Peyton Alan Cox, Andrew Dodson, Riley Dodson, Chloe Langway, Abegale Ruth, Shaylee, Emma Batts, Blaine Smith and Skyler Ruth. A Homecoming service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 beginning 12:00 noon, at Mason Mill Recreation Center located at 1340-B McConnell Drive, Decatur, GA 30033. Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00p.m. We will have lunch together, Homecoming will follow. We are requesting family to get with Niece Melinda Payne for lunch arrangements. Playground on site for all guests with children. Flowers and Plants will be appreciated for service. “A day to celebrate the Life of an Amazing Woman who will be Forever Remembered.”
