Donald K. Rogers

Donald K. Rogers, age 74, of Riceville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Life Care Center of Athens.

He was a United States Army Veteran and had served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from Thomas & Betts after 39 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Nolan and Valada Yeager Rogers, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law; Lake and Mabel Dennis and a brother-in-law Lowell Nipper.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Juanita Dennis Rogers of Riceville, TN, a brother Tom Rogers of Cheyenne, WY, one brother-in-law Bobby Dennis and his wife, Sarah of Decatur, TN. and a sister-in-law Helen Nipper of Riceville, TN. Several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Victor Abernathy officiating.

Entombment will be at the McMinn Memory Gardens on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. Bobby Dennis, Nathan Dennis, Lake Dennis, Albert King, Jr., Larry Shultz, and Reed O'Daniel will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6 until 8, at Bowers Funeral Home prior to the services.
