Donald Norman Acquard, 78, of Decatur, died Thursday, Mar. 3, 2016 at Rhea Medical Center.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian (George) Acquard; one brother, Richard Acquard.

He was past president of Bennington Fire Dept., Sgt. at Arms and Associate Member Big Cork Screw Island Fire and Rescue (BCIFR), member of Attica Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include his wife, Karen (Kell) Acquard of Decatur, TN; 4 sons, Donald Acquard, Jr., Keith Acquard, both of Alden, NY, Kevin Acquard of Cowlesville, NY, Timothy Acquard of Corfu, NY; step son Jim and Lynda Stankowitz of Kansas City, MO; 3 brothers, Robert and Lori Acquard of Clarence Center, NY, Joseph and Beverly Acquard of Bennington, NY, Russell and Jan Acquard of Ocala, FL; 7 Grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, Mar. 10, 2016 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating.

Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
