Denny Mullins

Denny Mullins, 55, of Oakdale passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, January 8, 2017. He was born in Little Rock, AK and had lived in Oakdale the past three years coming from a life-long residency in Wartburg, TN. He was born to George Dewey and Lena Mullins and honorable served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Rockwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey and Lena Mullins.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of ten years, Karen of Oakdale; two daughters, Deidra Burke of Alabama and Sarah Mullins of Wartburg; three step-sons, Matthew Humfleet of Oakdale, Gerald Wells and Bradley Wells, both of Rockwood, two step-daughters, Ashley Wells of Rockwood and Tonya Wilson of Alabama; two brothers, Gerald Mullins of Wartburg, and David Mullins of Coalfield; a half-sister Goldie Hembree of Joyner, TN; seventeen grandchildren; two nephews, Justin and Tyler Mullins and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Rockwood Baptist Tabernacle in Rockwood with Pastor Lewis Capps officiating. Interment will follow at Petros Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
