David Paul Stoughton

David Paul Stoughton, age 63, a resident of the Decatur area for the last 26 years and a native of Waterbury, CT, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at U.T. Medical Center. David was a former employee of Autozone, Mills Products, and the Shaw Corp.

David was preceded in death by his mother Phoebe Haines Lemay, his first wife Polly Anna Stoughton, and a son Christopher Lee Stoughton.

Survivors include: his wife of 15 years, Louise Stoughton of Decatur, daughters: Anna Marie Stoughton of Vermont, Barbara Dabbs of Shelbyville, TN, and Stacy Johnson of Arizona, a brother George Lemay of Dayton, TN, 4 grand children: Sklar Dabbs, Eddie Bergson, Elizabeth Joyce Stoughton, Christopher Lee Stoughton Jr.,1 great grand child; Aaliyah Dabbs, special friend Elaine Rogers, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home at 3 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 with the Rev. Gary Rolen officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 at the funeral home Thursday before the service.
