David Norton

August 4, 1954 — April 21, 2019

David Norton, 64, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a member and served as Deacon at Brittsville Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his grandchildren on the golf cart.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Anita Jo Norton, his father James Patrick Norton Jr., and his mother Dorothy Brogden Norton.

Survivors include one son, David "Tyler" (Amanda) Norton, of Calhoun, TN; one daugh...ter, Staci Norton (Camus) Crisp, of Decatur, TN; three brothers, James Patrick (April) Norton III, of Riceville, TN, Kenneth Wilson (Kathy) Norton, of Athens, TN and Stephen Andrew (Donna) Norton, of Decatur, TN; one sister, Judy Ann Norton (Ron) Colby, of Newport News, Va; four grandchildren, Caden and Zeke Crisp, of Decatur and Kenzie and Levi Norton, of Calhoun.

A funeral service will be held at the Brittsville Baptist Church located at 2650 Brittsville rd. Georgetown, TN on Thursday, April 25 at 8pm with Rev. Mike Exline and Rev. Kenny Purdie. The family will receive friends at the church from 5-8 pm Thursday. Burial will take place in Calhoun Cemetery Friday, April 26 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hope Lodge 2008 Charlotte Ave. Nashville, TN 37203.
