David Lee Everett

David "Davo" Lee Everett, 63, of Decatur, died, Thursday, Mar. 10, 2016, at his home after a five year battle with cancer.

He retired with 37 years of service from Olin Corporation, Charleston, TN and served 6 years with the Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Garnett Everett.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Debbie Malone Everett; two daughters and son-in-law, Chastity Everett and special friend Chris Thurman, all of Decatur, Crystal and Gary Meadows of Cleveland, TN; three grandchildren, Will Meadows, Ethan Meadows and Chloe Everett; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Darrell and Linda Everett of Cleveland, Deric and Pat Everett of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, from 3 until 7 p.m., at the funeral home, with the funeral to follow at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamey Davis officiating.

Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 in the McInturff Cemetery at Birchwood, TN

His nephews fill serve as pallbearers with honorary pallbearers being veterans and associates from AMVETS Post 90.
