Clayton Neal Pike Jr.

Clayton Neal Pike Jr., 51, of McMinn County, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. He is free from his bondage and has gone home to be with the Lord. Clayton was a Christian. He was dearly loved and will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie (Yoder) Duckett; his grandfather, Fred Duckett; grandparents, John and Theola Pike; and dear aunt, Lula Shadden. He is survived by his wife Susan R. (Hughes) Pike, of Calhoun; son Kevin Pike and wife Tiffanie , of Athens; daughters, Amy Parker and husband Thomas, of Athens, Taylor Pike, of Calhoun, Kelly Shoemake, of Cookville, Brandi Leamon and husband Charlie, of Riceville, Alexis Dillard and husband Jay, of Colorado; father, Clayton Pike Sr., of Delano; grandmother, Marietta Duckett Quinley; grandchildren, Sarah Pike, Madison Parker, Austin Gallager and Parker Arnett. Pallbearers are Kevin Pike, Thomas Parker, Ron Valentine, Eddie Hughes, Charlie Leamon, Larry Ratledge. Honorary pallbearers Buddy Lynn and Jimmy Mannis. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 2 at 7 pm with Rev. Bill Pearman and Jimmy Mannis officiating at Bowers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be Tuesday at 11 am in Tranquility Cemetery.
