Charlotte Josephine Harmon

Charlotte Ford Harmon, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at her home in Decatur, TN.

She was a daughter of the late Ruby F. Morgan and stepfather Henderson R. Morgan of Decatur, TN.

Charlotte, who was born and raised in Meigs County, attended Fort Sanders Nursing School in Knoxville, TN. She served as a public health nurse with the Meigs County Health Department for 40 plus years. Charlotte was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Decatur.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Doyle M. Harmon, Sr; sister: Hazel Verline Dannel; brother-in-laws: Charles Dannel, Clyde Max Harmon; sister-in-laws: Frances Harmon Harris, Linda Harmon.

She is survived by her daughter; Brenda Sue Harmon of Decatur, son: Doyle Milburn Harmon, Jr. (Marilyn) of Decatur, two grandsons: Jason Riley (Aimee) Harmon of Watertown, TN, Lance Edward (Krista) Harmon of Cleveland, TN, great-grandchildren: Tucker Ray Harmon, Rylee Mei Harmon of Watertown, brother-in-law: Don Harris of Cleveland; niece: Donna (David) Scott of Cleveland, nephews: Dee (Daphney) Harris of Prosper TX., Rusty (Aimee) Harmon of Knoxville, and a special friend: Clydean Liggett of Decatur.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery with Allen Roberts, Chris McKenzie, Sonny Woodcock, David Scott, Tad Roberts, Don Roberts, Carey Thompson, and Craig Thompson serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from 12 noon - 2 p.m. prior to the service.
