Charles Wayne Smith

Charles "Wayne" Smith, 76, of Spring City passed away at his home Tuesday, April 2, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Spring City who loved farming and the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, living life to its fullest potential.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Gordon and Minnie Smith; an infant brother; a brother-in-law, Marco Meadows; and a sister-in-law, Jeannette Meadows.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Nada Smith; and his siblings, Luke Smith, Donnie Smith (Cathy), Larry Smith, Connie Thompson (Jerry), Mike Smith (Cathy), Cathy Ketch (Joe), and Teresa Gunther (Chuck), all of Spring City; brothers-in-law, Adrian Meadows (Pauline) of Ooltewah and Doyle Meadows of Decatur; a sister-in-law Jane Meadows of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews..
The family will receive friends Friday, April 5, 2019 at Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur from 11am to 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Parson Norman Huskey officiating. Burial will follow in Add Smith Cemetery in Spring City. Pall Bearers will be Tracy Smith, Scotty Smith, Chris Smith, Shane Smith, Heath Smith, Brandon Gunther and Bradley Gunther. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Meadows, Steve Meadows, Anthony Meadows, Robert Meadows, Kevin Meadows, Derrick Gill and Brent Keltch
