Charles W. Trueblood, age 78, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and worked at the Meigs County Farmers Co-op for over 20 years and was a local scrap metal dealer for many years.
Charles was the son of the late Jessy and Leona Gennoe Trueblood. He was also preceded in death by infant Daughter: Mary Ann Trueblood, Brothers: Roy Lee Trueblood, James Allen Trueblood, Bobby Trueblood, Sisters: Ada Bess Brown, Wives: Barbara Trueblood, Martha Patterson Trueblood, Joann Davis Trueblood.
Survivors include his spouse Rita Richey Trueblood, Sons: Darrell Bruce Trueblood, Michael Robinson, Daughters: Freda Darlene Merrell, Betty Ashley Nicole Patterson, Brothers: Clyde Trueblood, David Trueblood, Sisters:Mary Jane Fairbanks, Annie Belcher, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren. . Several Nieces, Nephews, and a extended family and friends, the Joann Davis children and grandchildren and the Richey children and grandchildren and a special friend, "Mamaw Buddy" that was like a sister to him also survive.The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Rolen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Bowers Funeral Home.
