Charles Farmer

Charles "Charlie" Edward Farmer, 65, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, his new address is Heaven. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Decatur. He retired from Whirlpool Corp after 23 years and loved fishing, mowing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father & mother Robert Norman Farmer Sr. and Dorothy Ann Colbaugh Farmer, sister; Abby (Linda) Laura May Tetter Farmer, brother; Billy Colbaugh, great grandson; Rylan Knirr, step-mother; Dona Mae Farmer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years; Mary (Bowman) Farmer, one brother; Robert Farmer of Charleston and his children Travis and Stephanie Farmer of Athens, Melissa Dalton of Spring City, Sally and Mark Hardin of Decatur, Patricia and Freddy Hyde of Athens, grandchildren; Nevin, Owen, Aliyah Farmer, Brett Powers and Amber Knirr, Jessica and Allen Vaughn, Jace and Kade Hyde, great grandchildren; Makenzie Roderick, Maleah Jones, Alex Griffith, Colten and Mattie Vaughn. As well as numerous nieces and nephews, sister and brother in laws and friends.

Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Couch officiating.

The family will receive friends for 5:00 pm till 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Bowers Funeral Home.

Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the Decatur Cemetery.
