Charles E. Fairbanks

Charles E. Fairbanks, 64 of Decatur TN, passed away on September 1, 2017 at his residence.

He was a loving father of four children, lived in Meigs County all his life, had worked for the Meigs County Highway Department and Sherriff's Office for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Franklin Fairbanks and Renea Mae Fairbanks, Brother; J.M. Fairbanks, Grandson; Austin Wyatt Fairbanks.

Survivors include his sons: Charles Fairbanks Jr. of Dayton,, Franklin Fairbanks of Decatur, Daughters; Crystal Long and her husband Jessie of Decatur, Julie Cardin and her husband Mitch of Englewood, Brothers; Ronnie Fairbanks of Decatur, Doug Fairbanks of Decatur, Grandchildren; William, Blake, Landon Fairbanks, Dexter, Keyston, Brooklyn Long, Lucas, Franklin Jr. Fairbanks, and Abby Thurman.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Jamey Davis officiating.

Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. Don Fairbanks, Don Fairbanks, Jr., Charles E. Fairbanks, Jr., Chuck Fairbanks, Franklin Fairbanks, and William Fairbanks will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, from 5 until 7, at Bowers Funeral Home prior to the services.
