Charles Lee "Chuck" Butler

Charles Lee “Chuck” Butler, age 71, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.

He was a son of the later Robert Houston Butler and Nellie Price Butler Wilson. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, four wheeling, and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his first wife: Tammy Butler; son: Caleb Jerome Butler; brother: Robert Dennis Butler; nieces: Jennifer Butler Finnell, Tammy Jane Branam; nephew: Ricky Butler Jr.

He is survived by his wife: Vivian Freeman Butler; sons: Colby (Christina) Butler, Eric (DJ) Morrow, Kirk (Trina) Morrow; brother: Rick (Carla) Butler Sr.; sisters: Nancy Miller, Shirley Ann Buckner, Kimberly (Vic) King; grandchildren: Drew Morrow, Ethan (Savannah) Morrow, Connor Morrow; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Vic King officiating. Interment will follow in the Clear Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colby Butler, Eric, Kirk, Ethan, and Connor Morrows, and Matt Meadows.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon – 2 p.m., prior to the service.
