Carl Taylor Colbaugh

Rev. Carl "Taylor" Colbaugh went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Mar. 24, 2013 at his residence. He was a retired minister and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a member of Meigs Masonic Lodge 213 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert William and Willie Laura (Brown) Colbaugh; sister Jackie Arnold; brothers, Ralph Colbaugh, Charles Colbaugh, John L. Colbaugh. He is survived by his wife Allene Colbaugh of Decatur; 2 sons and daughter-in-laws, Teddie and Carol Ann Colbaugh, Carl William and Kim Colbaugh, all of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Randy Benton of Decatur; 3 brothers and sister-in-laws, George Colbaugh, Bertha Colbaugh, Harles and Diane Colbaugh, all of Decatur, Kenneth and Ann Colbaugh of Harrison, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Red Roberts of Riceville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of friends who loved him very much and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, Mar. 28, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Landon Harden and Rev. Mike King officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, Mar. 27, with a Masonic Service at 8 pm. Pallbearers: Justin Colbaugh, Derek Colbaugh, Nash Benton, Austin Colbaugh, Ryan Aikman, Nicholas Benton.
