Bruce Ray Case, Sr.

Bruce Ray Case, Sr., 76, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was an avid farmer, fisherman and hunter. He was a longtime Gideon and a faithful member and Deacon of Calvary missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Case, Sr. and Bertha Lou Ellen Keller Case; brothers, James Howard Case, Jr., Melvin Jackson Case and Glen Paul Case; and nephews, James Howard Case, III, and Darren Wilford Case.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Rhea Jones Case; His children, Teresa Lynne Case Basinger and husband Jerry, Lorri Ellen Case and husband Ed, and Bruce Ray Case, Jr. and wife Joanne; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Case Crowe; a brother, William Jacob Case; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 12PM with Rev Gary King and Rev. Jim Price officiating. Internment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Decatur.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 5PM to 8PM.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens
