Brandy Nicole Shelton McHone, 36, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Decatur. She was the daughter of Kathy McKenzie Womack of Ten Mile and Ray Marion Shelton of Fayetteville, NC. For most of her adult life she followed a family tradition of being a loving caregiver to many who were sick and in need of help. The most special one was her Pa Weaver who was stricken with cancer when she was 8 & 9 years old. Her Granny Rose told everyone that without her sitting with him in her big house she would never have been able to take care of her household chores in the rooms where she couldn't see of hear him, also giving her Pa much happiness in the process. In the last few years of her life she made some bad choices and I know the Lord decided to take her home to free her from her misery. She was preceded in death by her husband Timothy McHone, her Pa Weaver McKenzie, Papaw Ray Shelton and Nanny Leta Shelton. The survivors include her beloved sons, Jessie Ray Shelton, 19, Noah Riley McHone, 10, all of Decatur.
