Boyd Edward Guffey

Boyd "Whistle" Edward Guffey, age 62, of Decatur, TN died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at his residence. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Erwin and Flossie (Weeks) Guffey; sister Shirley Jones; brothers Don and Billy Guffey. She is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda (Couey) Guffey of Decatur, TN; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Barry and Bridgett Guffey of Tellico, TN, Stacey and Stacie Guffey of Cleveland, TN; one brother Charles "Cotton" Guffey and Special Friend Linda Jones of Flintstone, GA; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Dorothy and Tony Coile of Sevierville, TN, Linda and David Byrd of East Ridge, TN; four grandchildren, Hailey, Lylia, Brylee and Brenden Guffey; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nephews: Denny Carter, Joey Guffey, Rodney Guffey, Scotty Guffey, Matt Withrow, Andy Jones.
