On Thursday, January 31, 2013, Bonnie Robinson Mullins went home to be with the Lord at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Bonnie was born March 18, 1930 and was a life-long resident of Meigs County. She was an avid gardener and dairy farmer; as well as a former employee of the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 11 years. After 40 years of service Bonnie retired as a school bus driver for the Meigs County Board of Education. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, William "Bill" Mullins; her parents Fred and Minnie Robinson; two sons William Paul Mullins and Larry Eugene Mullins; four brothers and two sisters. Ms. Mullins is survived by two daughters, Jane Hughes and Phyllis Heck; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Carolyn Mullins; 8 grandchildren, Sheila Rowland, Danny Clemmer, Patsy Howard, Kelly Lunsford, Larry Mullins, Scotty Wiggins, Jamie Heck and Misty West; sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and one special nephew Gene Melton. She also had a very faithful companion, her dachshund, James Brown. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herman Jordan and Rev. Joe Andrew officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Mullins, Danny Clemmer, Scotty Wiggins, Austin Lunsford, Jeff Howard and Barry Rowland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristen Rowland, Cainan Howard, Wil Mullins and Chase Clemmer.
