Bobby Eugene Heck

Bobby Eugene Heck, age 73, a lifelong resident of Decatur, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2010. He was a member of the Cottonport Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, papaw, father-in-law and friend to many. He was an avid hunter and retired construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pearl Heck; and brother Elmer Melton Heck, Jr.. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 55 years Opal Heck of Decatur, TN; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Dennis Shaver of Decatur, TN; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Heather and Nick Kile; two great grandchildren, Zack and Krista Crager; one brother Jimmy Heck; four sisters and brother-in-laws, Yvonne Owens, JoAnn and Gerald Goins, Iva Dell and Benny Varnell, all of Decatur, TN, sister Lucinda Buchanan of Atlanta, GA; a very special mother-in-law Rose Wilson, as well as a special friend Jeremy Crager whom he taught so much; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Redman and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Zack Crager, Dennis Shaver, Nick Kile, Justin Wilson, Doug Wilcox and Jamie Heck. Honorary pallbearers: Jimmy Heck, Edward Wilson, Jr. Brown, Ruel Nance and Larry Young.
