Bobbie Sue Burgner

On Monday, Jan 12, 2015, Bobbie Sue Duckett Lunsford Burgner, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Bobbie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Bobbie was born on May 9, 1951. She was a longtime resident of Meigs County. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Decatur. Bobbie was employed at Shaw Industries until she retired in 2013. She enjoyed flowers, spending time with her grandsons, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jr. and Rosie Woodby Duckett; husband Bob Burgner; sister Wanda Womac; nephew Doyle Womac; brother-in-law Ronnie Gladson; her sons father Bill Lunsford. She is survived by one son Austin and his wife Kelly Lunsford, of Decatur; brothers Eddie Duckett, of Decatur, Pete and his wife Robin Duckett, of Telico, Charles and his wife Donna Duckett, of Decatur, Jessie and his wife Kim Duckett, of Decatur; sisters Frances Maroon, of Decatur, Martha Jane Meadows, of Decatur, Jo and her husband Harvel Henry, of Athens, Annie Gladson, of Cleveland; two grandsons Gaige and Gunner Lunsford; brother-in-law J.D. Womac, of Decatur; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 7 pm on Thursday, Jan. 15 in Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will be in the Mtn View Memorial Gardens Friday at 11 am. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm, Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Austin Lunsford, Pete Duckett, Charles Duckett, Jessie Duckett, Mitchell Womac, Ken Maroon. Honorary pallbearers: Eddie Duckett, Darrell Walden, Alex Duckett, Harvel Henry.
