Bob A. Moon

Bob A. Moon, 70, of Decatur passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare Center in Cleveland. He was a son of Robert Lee Moon and Cora Bess Moon and a lifelong resident of Decatur.

Bob enjoyed watching television and was very handy at woodworking. He worked for many years at VEC and was formerly a member at Five Point Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Bess Moon.

Survivors include his father, Robert Lee Moon of Cleveland; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Heidi Moon of Decatur; a daughter, Kelly Moon of Chattanooga; brothers, Raymond Moon (Helen) of Decatur and Billy Moon (Anna) of Decatur; a sister, Paula Thompson (Charles) of Ten Mile; and a granddaughter, Sarah Moon of Decatur.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at Bowers Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 6pm with Pastor Jamey Davis and Rev. Max Redman officiating. Burial will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at 10am. At the family's request there will be no procession to the cemetery.
