Betty Jean Thomas

Betty Jean Thomas, 82, of Ten Mile, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Decatur Health Care & Rehab. She was a member of Ten Mile Holiness Church of Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents: James and Dixie Cissom Letner, husband of 38 years: James Thomas, son: Danny Ray Thomas, brothers: Earl Letner, Munk Letner, sisters: Barbara June Thomas, Catherine Renfro, Susie Roberts. She is survived by her sons: Robert Thomas, David Thomas both of Ten Mile, daughters: Vicki Newman (Archie) of Athens, Peggy Moore of Ten Mile, Charlotte Waller (Donnie) of Decatur, brothers; Doyle Letner, Bob Letner, Arnold Letner, sisters: Ruth Letner, Connie Letner, Della Letner, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Ten Mile. The family will receive friends from 12 till 2 prior to the service.
