Betty Lue Franklin

Betty L. "Armour" Franklin, 59, Decatur, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Oct. 24, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star (O.E.S.) Athenian #159, member of Gideon Auxillary. She was employed at the Watts Bar Nucular Plant Unit 2 Startup. She was preceded in by her parents, Melvin C. and Leta (Moore) Armour; 1 sister Letty J. Armour; 1 great grandson Kaiden Hooker. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Ronnie Franklin of Decatur; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Ronald S. and Myka Franklin of Rock Island, TN, Bryon K. and Emily Franklin of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Bobby Higgins of Decatur; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Bill" and Linda Armour of Dandridge, TN; one sister, Lilly McAllister of Spring City, TN; 5 granddaughters, Ashley, Brittany, Courtney and Emily Minnis all of Decatur, Charis Franklin of Rock Island, TN; two step-grandchildren, Jasmine and Gabe Higgins of Decatur; several nieces and nephews and a host of good Christian Friends. The funeral will be held at 8 pm, Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herman Jordon and Rev. Victor Abernathy officiating. Burial will be at 10 am, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, in the Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 pm, Monday, Oct. 26 with a Order of Eastern Star between visitation and funeral service. Pallbearers will be Joe Gregory, Bobby Dennis, Reed O'Daniel, Binky Hutsell, Joe DeBusk and Lee Pillion. Honorary pallbearers: men of Pisgah Baptist Church.
