Betty Reba Combs

Betty Reba (Erwin) Combs, age 80, of Decatur, TN, beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Brooke Wood Nursing Center. Her wittiness and fun loving personality will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Meigs County Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bell (Brown) Erwin; her husband of 64 years, Henry "Hen" Combs; brothers, Lee, Hubert, Homer, Lawrence and Raymond Erwin. . She is survived by one son Ed Combs of Cleveland, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Renee' and Don Brogden of Calhoun, TN; three grandchildren, Carroll and Tambra Combs, April and Danny Green, and Lt. Gary Redman; one great grandchild Cayci Combs; two step-grandchildren, Toby and Johnna Brogden and Tabatha McCammon; six step- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and many special friends and care givers at Brookewood. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Rymer officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2011 in the Beta Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
