Betty Mae Foust Powers Chittum

Betty Mae Foust Powers Chittum, age 88, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Carson and Kattie Burton Foust. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Chittum; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children: Patsy Davis of Dayton, James Powers of Chattanooga, Joyce Powers, Dennis Powers, Edward Powers, all of Decatur, Evon Waller of Ten Mile, Beverly Ferguson of Lake City, TN; brother: Pete Foust, 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
