Betty Louise Seals Childs

Betty Louise Seals Childs, age 88, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her residence. She was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, watching John Wayne, loving on her dog, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: George Seals, Sr. and Oleta Inman Seals, husband: Jesse Childs, brother: George Seals, Jr, sister: Thelma Miller, son-in-law: Pat Monday; fur baby: Scrappy Doo. She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Dale Manning (Ted), Barbara Monday, sister: Peggy Seals, grandchildren: Scott and Bobby Monday, Rachel Ogle (Jason), Jimmy Nelson (Roxanne), T.J. Manning (Rhonda), 6 great-grandchildren, fur baby: Peanut, several Nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local humane society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the Childs Family.
