Benjamin Cleo Summers

Benjamin Cleo Summers, age 80, of Decatur, TN, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 20, 2011. He was of the Methodist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father Shelly Summers; two grandsons, Benjamin Scott Kile and Hugh Ronald Hicks, Jr., step son Ray Rickman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise Summers of Decatur, TN; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ben Summers of Decatur, TN, Haven and Maryann Rickman of VA; one daughter Elizabeth Peshoff of Decatur, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Virginia Summers of SC; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Maude Miller of SC, Eva and Walter Hall of SC; Grandchildren, Brad and Greg Rickman, Tyler and Beth Kile, Diane Womac, Dan Whaley, Darlene King, Dee Dee Dean. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Blevins officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011. The family will receive friends from 5- 8 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Womac, Dan Whaley, Rick King, Joey Bishop, Steven Bishop and Mike Goins.
